It really depends on what you are going for. If you are going for more a more classic vibe, then go with the YSL. If you want a bag with a bit of an edge to it, go with the Valentino. The Valentino is definitely a statement bag while the YSL is not. It's hard to open and doesn't look like it will soften up anytime soon. Capacity is very small, even for a medium. If you overstuff the bag, the flap will warp at an angle and tilt to the side. No personal experience with the college but it appears to be a very versatile and durable bag loved by many on this forum.

I have the cream Muse bag & I was wondering if anyone has used The Apple Grade protection spray or the Vectra Spray on that particular color. The girl @ the YSL store recommended that I spray it with one but didn't specify which one. Unlike the heavy YSL chain, this bag's chain feels like a forever 21 necklace (I also appreciate light chains too, doesn't necessarily feel cheap but it's more practical if you like lighter bags.)
