My rolex is losing 3 seconds a day :( should I take it to be regulated? (It's a one year old ceramic submariner worn 24 hours a day) Try removing the watch at night and letting dial face up while you sleep. Typically watches gain with dial up and lose time on wrist and crown down. When tested, I believe it is +-2 across all positions. So if you lose 4 in 24hr on wrist and gain +2 dial up, it is within spec. Posts: 761. Give the watch crown a full 40+ turns and then set to the exact time on TRF or a good quality quartz watch then wear it for at least 8 hrs a day and only check the time once a day with the source you used to set it with and don’t use .
Just curious if the 32XX movement problems have extended to the no-date variant, caliber 3230. Any submariner or OP owners (new releases of 2020) out there with the same movement problem as the 3235?? Specifically, losing time or discovering low amplitude on the movement. Thanks in advance.
In fact, Rolex's willingness to spend their own time and money to get a watch to run within 2 seconds shows that they hold their watches to that standard even when being worn. Precisely The new "SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER" + or - 2 second per day standard applies to a cased up movement to closer replicate the actual operating environmentRolex Forums - Rolex Watch Forum > Rolex & Tudor Watch Topics > Rolex General Discussion: rolex submariner losing time
I would lose exactly 1 hr on the hr hand overnight (24hr hand and minute hand never an issue, always correct) - occurred probably every couple of weeks, If I set the time manually, may not occur for 3-4 weeks. Now just over a month later it’s losing time again. Tried winding and synchronising with a clock on my phone and monitoring for a week. It’s basically losing 18 seconds a day, which I believe is outside the normal for a mechanical watch. my 2020 rolex sub, 126613 is losing time- now averaging minus 10 a day.
